In the previous message, we mentioned how Jesse collaborated with Dr. Shireen Rizvi to produce a series of videos on DBT Crisis Survival Skills. And now, the latest video is available on Tipping the Temperature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVHtjDgc_XU

Tipping the Temperature is part of the Distress Tolerance skills known as TIP, which stand for Temperature, Intense Exercise, Paced Breathing, and Progressive Muscle Relaxation. We use these skills when we feel so overwhelmed with emotion that no other skills feel even possible at that moment. The TIP skills tap into our parasympathetic nervous system, reducing the physiological experience of distress so that we can then use other skills to be effective.
